Heatherdown United Church & Cemetery

The Heatherdown United Church was built in 1907. It was an integral part of the Heatherdown community.

Regular worship ceased in the early 1980's and the church became an unofficial historic site. The Bethel United Church, of the Onoway Pastoral Charge, continues to maintain both the church and the cemetery.

The Land was originally donated by Mr. Austin Gauntely.

Beautiful spruce trees and pine trees at the cemetery.

A church in the foreground with large spruce and pine trees complete the quiet setting.

Open area with a bench under a large pine tree.

The cemetery is spread out with a large number of isolated sites still available.

This picturesque cemetery may be found by turning north off Highway 16 west at the Lake Eden, Range Road 20, and travelling north 9 km.
